KeyLogic Wins 2016 United Way Corporate Cup Challenge

KeyLogic is the 2016 United Way Corporate Cup Division 1 Champion and receives the Outstanding Team Spirit award. KeyLogic competed against eight teams in nine events. The fun, athletic competition served as a great team-building exercise while raising over $10,000 for the United Way of Monongalia and Preston Counties.

KeyLogic Partners with 4th Grade Students at Eastwood Elementary School to Celebrate Earth Day 2016

KeyLogic is excited to have partnered with the 4th grade students at Eastwood Elementary School, Monongalia County's first 'green school', to celebrate Earth Day at an assembly held on Friday, April 22, 2016. All Eastwood Elementary 4th grade students were asked to draw a picture of “What Earth Day Means To Me”.  The artwork was displayed in the KeyLogic office lobby for employees to vote a winner. The winner of the art contest, Jazlyn Grim,  was announced at the assembly and received her art printed on a t-shirt that is worn by all her classmates, teachers, and others within the community.

KeyLogic Battles it Out at United Way Corporate Cup Challenge

KeyLogic competes in the 17th Annual United Way Corporate Cup Challenge in Morgantown, WV June 12 - 14, 2015. Our team placed a respectable 3rd overall earning points for the following placements: 1st in volleyball, 1st in tug-o-war, 2nd in dodgeball, 3rd in billiards, 3rd in bowling, 4th in 3 point shot, 4th in team trivia, and 5th in cornhole. All proceeds from the event benefit the United Way of Monongalia and Preston Counties.

KeyLogic  - You Can't Sink Our Spirit

Game on! KeyLogic rallies at Relay for Life in Morgantown, WV on Friday June 5th and in Columbia, MD on Saturday, June 6th. Employees raised money before the events by hosting cookout luncheons, selling ice cream sundaes, and other fun activities. As always, it was a great time for employees and family to come together for a good cause.

KeyLogic is excited to have partnered with the 4th grade students at Eastwood Elementary School, Monongalia County's first 'green school', to celebrate Earth Day at an assembly held on Wednesday, April 22, 2015. All Eastwood Elementary 4th grade students were asked to draw a picture of “What Earth Day Means To Me”.  The artwork was displayed in the KeyLogic office lobby for employees to select a winner. The winner of the art contest, Ryleigh Hoffman,  was announced at the assembly and received her art printed on a t-shirt that is worn by all her classmates, fellow teachers and others within the community.

KeyLogic competes at the 16th Annual United Way Corporate Cup Challenge on June 13 - 15, 2014. The competition was fierce and it was a rebuilding year for our team. Our competitors had several solid finishes including a 1st in volleyball, 3rd place finishes in team trivia and billiards, and 4th in tug of war. The event raised more than $10,000 for our local United Way.

KeyLogic  - the Cause is Strong With this One

KeyLogic 's Cause is Strong. In support of the American Cancer Society's 2014 Relay for Life event on June 7, 2014, KeyLogic employees came together for the cause. Playing on the movie theme "Lights, Camera, Take Action" KeyLogic's campsite was based on a Star Wars theme "The Cause is Strong With This One." Additional dollars were raised by selling Yoda Soda, Jedi training Segway rides, Tatooine tattoos, and raffling off a Death Star piñata. Team KeyLogic's efforts were recognized by being honored at the Fundraising Silver Club Level.

KeyLogic participates in the American Cancer Society's 4th Annual Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk/run on Saturday, Oct. 12th at Hazel Ruby McQuain Park in Morgantown, WV. Team KeyLogic is the proud Flagship Sponsor of the non-competitive 5k event. Employees came out to share their passion for the cause on a perfect fall morning.

KeyLogic defends the title of United Way Corporate Cup Champions and is awarded the Sportsmanship Award. A valiant effort by all participants resulted in KeyLogic respectably placing in all 10 athletic events. The fun, athletic competition served as a great team-building exercise while raising money for the United Way of Monongalia and Preston Counties.

KeyLogic Supports 2013 Relay for Life

Team KeyLogic Supported the American Cancer Society's 2013 Relay for Life - Monongalia County. Captain KeyLogic for the Cause and Team surpassed the $3,000 fundraising goal by contributing more than $4,500. Team KeyLogic's efforts were recognized by being honored at the Fundraising Silver Club Level. KeyLogic's campsite was also named "Best Campsite 2013." A Special thanks to all the superheroes that came out to fight for "Freedom from Cancer."

KeyLogic Staff Provides Food to Local Homeless Shelter 

As part of a corporate volunteer initiative, many KeyLogic employees are becoming more engaged in the community, which included delivering food to the Barlett House, a homeless shelter in Morgantown, WV.

The Bartlett House was founded in 1985 as a nonprofit organization to meet the needs of the homeless population in Monongalia County, West Virginia, as well as surrounding areas, and is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. 

 

KeyLogic Supports Our Worldwide Community Through Our Team at DISA

A devastating earthquake crippled the nation of Haiti in January 2010; however the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) has been working with U.S. Southern Command (USSOUTHCOM) to provide the necessary non-classified communications and information-sharing network to help relieve the Haitian suffering. Onsite at DISA, KeyLogic Technical Director Betty Carey and Senior Program Management Specialist Susan Davis work with the Chief Technology Office on the Transnational Information Sharing Cooperation (TISC) Joint Capability Technology Demonstration (JCTD) for which DISA serves as both technical and transition manager.

 

KeyLogic Helps Celebrate Earth Day with Local Students

In honor of the 40th Earth Day celebration, KeyLogic held a poster contest for fifth grade students at Ridgedale Elementary School in Morgantown, WV, near the corporate headquarters. Jeremy Clawges won the contest and his poster was made into a t-shirt. “I just hope this event would make an impression on them that Earth Day is important and they have an important part to do, protect the Earth, and keep the environment clean,” said KeyLogic Executive Director Carey Butler, who serves as Program Manager on the National Energy Technology Laboratory (NETL) Project Execution and Integration (PEI) contract.

Book Drive Held to Support Troops

Following the success of previous corporate book drives, KeyLogic held another book drive recently to support our troops serving overseas. Through these various drives, the company was able to send numerous boxes of new and used books, magazines, journals, DVDs, and CDs to our troops serving in both Iraq and Afghanistan.

 

Wounded Warriors Drive Successful

KeyLogic sponsored a successful drive to collect international phone cards for The Wounded Warriors located at Walter Reed Medical Center’s Warrior Transition Brigade in Washington, DC. The program supports soldiers recovering from wounds received during Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom.

 

KeyLogic Proudly Supports Schools and Communities

President/CEO Jon Hammock and KeyLogic are proud of their involvement in the community and giving back to schools in both West Virginia and Ghana. KeyLogic donated time, talent, and treasure to two separate playground projects – One at the Watson Elementary School in Fairmont, WV and the other at the Davis Creek Elementary School in Barboursville, WV. The projects brought together the community and provide the neighborhood children with nice, safe places to play

Five students from a school in the West African nation of Ghana have been supported by KeyLogic throughout their education and have recently graduated. The sponsorship began in 2004 and has been a constant source of pride and joy for all involved to watch these five students grow over the years.

 

Community Blood Drives Held at Corporate Offices

KeyLogic hosted American Red Cross blood drives at its corporate offices in Morgantown, WV and Columbia, MD to support the organization at the time of year when blood supplies are generally at their lowest, most critical levels.
