KeyLogic Systems, Inc. Awarded Contract for Department of Energy’s National Energy Technology Laboratory Valued at $112 Million
KeyLogic to support mission execution and strategic analysis during the five-year contract
Morgantown, WV – May 17, 2016 – KeyLogic Systems, Inc., a leading professional services and engineering firm, has been awarded a prime contract from the U.S. Department of Energy's (DOE) National Energy Technology Laboratory (NETL) for mission execution and strategic analysis support services. The five-year contract is initially valued at $112 million but allows for additional services within the contract scope. The contract combines three previous NETL contracts –Project Execution and Integration (PEI), Program and Performance Management (PPM), and Energy Sector Planning and Analysis (ESPA) – historically employing 180 personnel combined.
NETL is one of DOE’s seventeen national laboratories focusing on America's economic prosperity through its energy-related research mission. The laboratory implements a broad spectrum of energy and environmental research, as well as technology development and deployment programs through its own research staff, and through funded research at other labs, universities, and industry that will return benefits for generations to come.
"We are incredibly honored to continue and broaden our support to NETL and its significant mission to deliver technological solutions that address our nation's three significant energy issues: affordability, supply security, and environmental quality," said Carey Butler, KeyLogic Executive Director of Energy Programs. “Our team’s extensive technical and project management experience will ensure NETL receives the critical support needed to achieve its important goals.”
KeyLogic will provide support to NETL throughout the energy technology research and development lifecycle, including program and project planning, execution, monitoring and assessment for coal, oil and natural gas, energy efficiency and renewable energy, and electricity delivery technologies. KeyLogic will also provide high quality, credible analyses of the entire economic value chain of energy from resource assessment, extraction, and transport to conversion, distribution, and end-use. The range of these analyses includes process and cost engineering; financial analysis; life cycle analysis; economic, market and regulatory analysis; technology deployment and program benefit analysis; energy infrastructure analysis; and subsurface analysis.
"This contract represents a tremendous opportunity for KeyLogic to strengthen our partnership with DOE that has been developed over the past seven years,” said Jon Hammock, president and CEO of KeyLogic Systems, Inc. “The KeyLogic team works exceptionally hard to deliver our world-class customer service to NETL, as we help them address our country’s most pressing energy needs.”
As the prime contractor, KeyLogic anchors a strong and diverse team featuring three major subcontractors: Deloitte Consulting LLP, Leidos, Inc., and Allegheny Science and Technology Corporation.
