Community Impact
Placing a high value on the company's role as a good corporate citizen.
We are deeply committed to supporting and interacting with the communities where our employees live and work, exemplified by our office-specific volunteer opportunities.
Alexandria, VA and McLean, VA
The Alexandria, VA and McLean, VA offices supports the Childhelp Washington Area Chapter sponsored by City of Alexandria Department of Community and Human Services. Most recently, we supported the Alice C. Tyler Village of Childhelp — a safe haven for abused, neglected, and at-risk children.
We celebrate Red Nose Day and raise funds for the global charity that brings attention to childhood poverty throughout the world by donning red clown noses, having some fun events, and collecting donations.
Donations are also made to local communities through programs such as the Boys & Girls Club and mobile health clinics.
In support of the Holiday Sharing Program, the DMV offices have provided a Holiday/Christmas for children, their families, the elderly, disabled, and children in foster care. The generous donations from our staff have been able to fulfill their wish lists, including clothes, shoes, books, bikes, groceries, and toys.
Oak Ridge, TN
The Oak Ridge, TN office has a passion for corporate giving that supports literacy, education, and lifelong learning.
We support Girls Inc, and the Children’s Museum of Oak Ridge. Hold fundraisers and food drives for Second Harvest Food Bank. Provide Angel Tree gift donations for the Willow Brook Elementary School; providing Christmas presents to children who would otherwise not received gifts during the holidays. We serve on the Literacy Committees of both Rotary International and Altrusa International and are an “Angel” supporter of their yearly joint literacy luncheon that raises $15-20k annually for literacy awareness and programs.
Our people have taken an active role in helping our local environment by sponsoring road cleanups through the year.
Our employees are committed to giving back to the community. Each year we support the United Way of Anderson County in its corporate campaign, raising funds to support United Way agencies that assist citizens throughout our region.
Morgantown, WV and Pittsburgh, PA
During the COVID-19 pandemic telework period, KeyLogic employees in Morgantown and Pittsburgh formed a community service club. The club is dedicated to helping members share their community service activities and increase involvement of service-oriented team members in those activities. Specifically, the club has shared many ways for members to get involved in the local community while maintaining social distancing and other COVID-related protocols. New members are welcomed on an ongoing basis.
The community service club meets monthly, on a virtual platform, to discuss ways to get involved in the local community, or ways that members can respond to non-local efforts, such as disaster relief. Post-pandemic, the club will be involved in choosing monthly or quarterly projects, advertising them to the broader KeyLogic team, and seeking assistance or sponsorship from KeyLogic for their efforts.
Our local projects to date and ones we anticipate adding in the future support Southwestern Pennsylvania and West Virginia. When we can safely volunteer in person again, we hope these opportunities will help others and also build camaraderie among KeyLogic employees. Some of the organizations discussed and supported by KeyLogic employees include (but are not limited to):
- Knitted Knockers
- Project Linus
- Empty Bowls
- The Appalachian Prison Book Project
- Lasagna Love
- Destination Imagination
- Local Science Bowls
- Local food pantries
- Local animal shelters
- And, of course, local United Way partners
